Angola garantiu um financiamento de 653 milh\u00f5es de euros (753 milh\u00f5es de d\u00f3lares) para a moderniza\u00e7\u00e3o e opera\u00e7\u00e3o do Corredor do Lobito. Segundo o Jornal de Angola, com base numa nota do Minist\u00e9rio dos Transportes, os recursos ser\u00e3o destinados \u00e0 reabilita\u00e7\u00e3o da infraestrutura ferrovi\u00e1ria e ao refor\u00e7o da capacidade operacional de um dos principais corredores do pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

O financiamento foi assegurado pela U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) e pelo Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) \u00e0 Lobito Atlantic Railway (LAR), concession\u00e1ria respons\u00e1vel pela explora\u00e7\u00e3o da linha ferrovi\u00e1ria. O projeto prev\u00ea a moderniza\u00e7\u00e3o de cerca de 1.300 quil\u00f3metros de via f\u00e9rrea, ligando o Porto do Lobito \u00e0 fronteira com a Rep\u00fablica Democr\u00e1tica do Congo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De acordo com o Jornal de Angola, o investimento dever\u00e1 refor\u00e7ar a integra\u00e7\u00e3o econ\u00f3mica regional, aumentar a efici\u00eancia do transporte de mercadorias e consolidar Angola como uma importante plataforma log\u00edstica no continente africano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
